The agility meadow is quite large with both a standard course area and a jumpers course area. The creek is to the left and there is a shady area for crating to the right. It is lighted for night time use as well. The meadow has terrific drainage so even after a rain, it usually may be used quickly.
The equipment is state of the art. Creekside has both the Clip & Go A Frame and dog walk for ultimate safety for your dog. The majority of our jumps are also Clip & Go with some of the safest jump cups
When the weather turns ugly, or we need a smaller confined training area, we turn to our indoor training area pictured below. The building is fully matted and we've come to affectionately call it "The Blue Meadow." We also have the option of going over to the new Rising Star Canine Ranch to train in Oak Ridge (indoors on turf).
For those following the Creekside Dogs:
Psychic turned 10 in January, 2024, and is now winding down his career, only running in Jumpers - his favorite event.
Psychic's son, MindReader, made his trial debut in May, 2023 (video below). He went through novice and open in only 3 trials - way faster than any dog I've ever trained. He earned his Excellent Jumpers title in November. So, while he is competing in Master, he is now going through all the baby dog stages I expect at his age. Gale went into early retirement from competition as I just don't have time to train and run three dogs. That said, Gale is my new teaching assistant, running for some of my students who want to experience the adrenaline rush of running a crazy fast dog and learning to handle it!
Lynn & other Creeksiders plan to attend the following upcoming trials:
September 20-22 - Yorkshire Terrier Trial - Rising Star
Nov 15-17 Yorkshire Terrier Trial - Rising Star
Dec 13-15 BRAC - Pendleton (Clemson), SC
Jan 10-12 Lexington, VA
Jan 31-Feb 2 Yorkie Trial - Rising Star
Feb 14-16 - Star City - Rising Star
